The mayor has indicated that he hopes that before the beginning of next summer the main actions will be completely executed, in order to offer an optimal service to the thousands of tourists and residents who enjoy this walk on La Mata beach.

With this authorization, the City Council will now be able to tender and award the works, which will involve an investment of 8,500,000 euros and which also has funds from the European Union.

The Councilor for Sports of the Torrevieja City Council, Diana Box Alonso, reports that the “Ciudad de Torrevieja” International Bowling Open, very popular among the growing masses of national and international players, will be held for the eleventh consecutive year at Ozone Bowling Torrevieja, between on September 16 and 24. This year, it is the most international tournament held in Spain and at the same time an official tournament of the annual European Bowling Tour. Simultaneously, in the same bowling alley, another tournament for players over 50 years of age will also be held, the III Torrevieja Senior Open.

The Department of Sports of the Torrevieja City Council, the Torrevieja Football Club, the Valencia Football Club and Nitidia Sport have presented what will be the I Clínic Valencia CF - Torrevieja. The Local Government Board of the Torrevieja City Council approved yesterday the contracting of the works of the La Mata Pedestrian Path, which will mean the total renovation of this important promenade in the city. The contract winner was the company UTE ORTHEM-ABALA, with a drop of 10%, the total cost of the work being almost 4 million euros (3,929,612 euros). Once the works have been awarded, the performance could begin in just two weeks.
